If you've found your way to this page, it means you decided you would like to know more about the guy writing these blog posts. You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you? Only joking. I'm just a dad who likes anything and everything having to do with technology. I grew up thinking I was a master at computers because I knew how to defragment my dad's old gateway computer. From then on I knew that my home was in this electronic world. I spent most of my high school time building computers and burning hundreds of CDs for friends and family. When I wasn't doing things for others I was playing any video game I could get my hands on. After high school and a few fast food jobs later, I got a job with one of the big three in telecom as tech support. I've worked in various positions at this job for the past 9 years, all the while, my focus has never left the tech world. Whether it be the latest and greatest in hardware or software or diving into the history of how we got where we are today in the tech world, it's always been fascinating to me all around. I truly believe that the more we educate people on tech issues, the better our world will be. We are at a unique time in human history where we have the tools to do amazing things and make life easier for all, but there aren't enough people with the knowledge of how far we've indeed come to recognize this. I'm always learning and always happy to share what I've learned. I welcome any questions and truly look forward to an amazing journey in the tech world with anyone willing to strap themselves in the seat next to me.

Operating Systems   Operating Systems Major Functions Operating systems essentially act as the manager and translator for the entire computer. Operating systems are essentially here to ensure that when someone wants to do something on their computer, they aren't forced to sit down and treat the function as if they were doing math on an abacus.
